Good news for homeowners considering battery storage in 2026! Tesla have officially extended the popular Powerwall reward scheme, giving customers extra time to order and save.

This follows the original launch of the scheme celebrating over one million Powerwalls installed worldwide, where UK customers were able to claim £375.00 per unit, up to £750.00 per home, through a Virtual Visa card, just as before.

Now, with extended deadlines, more households have the opportunity to take advantage.

More time to claim, same great incentive

The biggest change is simple: you now have longer to act. Customers have until 30 June 2026 to order their Powerwall and register for the scheme, with installations needing to be completed by 31 August 2026.

Aside from the extended timeline, nothing else has changed. The reward amount remains the same, and the process is still straightforward. Once your Powerwall system is installed and approved, you’ll receive a Virtual Visa card as a reward.

For homeowners who may have missed the original deadline, or were still weighing up their options, this extension offers a second chance.

Why more homeowners are choosing Powerwall

The growing popularity of the Powerwall is no coincidence. It is designed to store electricity from your solar panels or the grid, and use it when your home needs it most. This could be in the evening when solar generation drops, or during peak rate periods when electricity is at its most expensive.

With UK export rates often significantly lower than import costs, storing your energy rather than selling it back to the grid can make a noticeable difference to your savings and solar payback. The Powerwall allows you to maximise what you generate, and reduce how much energy you buy in.

For many HeatElectric systems, this forms part of a wider system. Pairing a Powerwall with solar panels, electric radiators and hot water solutions allows you to take full control of your energy usage and reduce your reliance on traditional suppliers.

Act now to save

Although the deadlines have been extended, this is still a limited time offer. To qualify, both registration and installation must fall within Tesla’s updated timeframes. Missing these dates means missing out on the reward entirely.

We’re already helping customers secure their installations well ahead of the deadline to avoid disappointment. With demand for battery storage continuing to rise, leaving it too late could mean longer lead times and fewer installation slots available.

Is now the right time?

With energy prices still unpredictable and more homeowners looking to futureproof their homes, schemes like this make the decision easier. The combination of long-term savings, greater energy independence and a financial incentive is hard to ignore.

If you were considering a Tesla Powerwall, this offer extension gives you a great opportunity to move forward with confidence.

As a Tesla certified installer, we can guide you through the process from design to installation, ensuring you quality for the reward while building a system tailored to your home.
